These terms are governed and constructed in accordance with English law. You and Town & Country Cleaning each submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to disputes arising out of these terms.

Payment Terms

Standard domestic cleaning hourly rate applies. Minimum 2hr clean per visit. No part hours invoiced and rounded up to full hour. At least one working day notice required for cancellation without charge. Payment within 14 days of invoice. 

Pricing agreed prior to services commence for all commercial customers. No part hours invoiced and rounded up to full hour. Additional charges apply for bank holidays (double charge for bank holidays and triple charge for Christmas/Boxing/New Year’s Day). Additional charge applies for all chargeable consumables (e.g. bin bags) and equipment replacement parts (e.g. vacuum hose/head). Payment within 28 days of invoice. 

For large service agreements a written contract will be provided for signature, prior to services starting. Large contracts with increased associated risk may require a personal director guarantee. A 24hr service-level agreement is not provided unless stipulated in contract.

For customers requesting one-off service, up to 100% of payment will be paid prior to services starting. Final cost may vary according to any unforeseen events and additional cleaning visits. Signed customer satisfaction available immediately on completion of work. 

Town & Country Cleaning reserves the right to increase prices at any time due to cost impacts affecting operations and profitability. These include (but not limited to), changes in inflation, national living wage and employee pension obligations. Notice of price increases is communicated via standard invoicing. 

No payment shall be deemed to have been received until Town & Country Cleaning has received cleared funds. All payments payable to Town & Country Cleaning under the contract shall become due immediately upon termination of contract despite any other provision. 

The buyer shall make all payments due under the contract without any deduction whether by way of set-off, counterclaim, discount, abatement or otherwise unless the buyer has a valid court order requiring an amount equal to such deduction to be paid by Town & Country Cleaning to the buyer. If the buyer fails to pay Town & Country Cleaning any sum due pursuant to the contract, the buyer will be liable to pay interest to Town & Country Cleaning on such sum from the due date for payment at the monthly rate of 5% above the base lending rate from time to time of Lloyds Bank Plc, accruing on a daily basis until payment is made, plus administrative costs, whether before or after any judgment.

If you do not accept that an invoice is fair and reasonable you must notify us within 21 days of receipt, failing which you will be deemed to have accepted payment is due in full. 

Company Insurance

Town & Country Cleaning is fully insured including employers liability to £10,000,000, public liability to £5,000,000 and professional indemnity to £250,000.

Town & Country Cleaning can work to any agreed service framework. 

Health & Safety

Town & Country Cleaning is committed to maintaining a health and safety (H&S) policy, procedures and standards to ISO9001, IS014001 and SMAS/SSIP – Safety Scheme in Procurement. 

Town & Country Cleaning has no serious H&S incidents reported at work to date. COSHH and site-specific risk assessment and method statements (RAMS) are available on request. Customer agrees to responsibility for regular PAT testing of all electrical equipment at customer site. All staff and contractors receive a Health & Safety training programme and are issued with personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.
